halfmyheart | 5 Reasons Why Stargate Episode 8x19/20 Could Possibly be the Dorkiest Episode Ever

I had forgotten how much I loved the geek glasses until I re-watched this episode last night. Haha. There is so much awkward geekiness! I LOVE it so hard. And, you know what, so should you!

So yeah, the episode in which Catherine Langford dies, Daniel inherits her collection. He finds reference to a Zero Point Module (ZPM) in a book about Ra in Egypt in 3000 B.C. SG-1 use the Ancient time machine to go back in time to retrieve the ZPM but when their ship is discovered, they create a different future in which the SGC does not exist and their alternate selves lead very different lives. VERY different lives.

Which makes for lots and lots of fun geek ~~amusement~~ love. I'm just not so sure the quotes work so well with this spam...

ALTERNATE DANIEL

ALTERNATE HAMMOND
Egyptian pyramids as landing pads for alien spacecraft.

03. The horribly hideous and yet fantastically funny life vest scene.

ALTERNATE DANIEL
So ultimately what we have to do is this. We have to find the Stargate and then get hold of this time travel device.

ALTERNATE CARTER
Locate this alien named Teal'c.

ALTERNATE DANIEL
Right, get Teal'c first, then go back in time to change the past, fix the future.

[O'Neill is working on a fishing pole, not appearing to listen.]

ALTERNATE DANIEL
Are you listening?

ALTERNATE O'NEILL
I was trying not to.

04. They are so dorky in their smugness.

ALTERNATE DAVIS
What have you got?

ALTERNATE DANIEL
(primly)
We're waiting to see General Hammond.

ALTERNATE DAVIS
He's busy. Why don't you tell me; I'll decide if it's worth interrupting him.

05. It just is.

ALTERNATE KAWALSKY
(to Hammond)
Sir, with all due respect, what are they still doing here?

ALTERNATE HAMMOND
I'm not sure.
(to the airmen guarding the door)
Airmen, please escort—

ALTERNATE DANIEL
Wait wait wait wait wait wait wait. We were all on that tape.

ALTERNATE KAWALSKY
That tape had nothing to do with it. Jack O'Neill's one of the best I've ever served with.

ALTERNATE CARTER
You may not care that this timeline is a direct result of tampering with the past, but you have to acknowledge that the tape said the planet you're going to is enemy territory. An enemy that is way more advanced than us technologically.

ALTERNATE O'NEILL
What's your point?

ALTERNATE CARTER
You're literally walking into a totally alien situation, outmanned and outgunned.
